Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order on www.misencage.com.

2) Registration

You do not need to register for to view the website. Registration is required in order to use the shopping facility and in order to receive our newsletter. Your registration details are important and you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. You agree to notify us immediately of any changes that are relevant to your registration by informing us at contact@misencage.com

3) Eligibility to purchase

In order to make purchases on www.misencage.com, you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, you will be required to provide payment details that you represent and warrant are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.
www.misencage.com is available only to individuals and others who meet the Mise en Cage terms of eligibility, who have been issued a valid credit/debit card by a bank acceptable to Mise en Cage.

4) Confidentiality

Mise en Cage prides itself on the luxurious quality of our products as well as their presentation and packaging. When shipments are made, they are done so in traditional white packaging. The packaging exterior never eludes to the contents except if required by customs. Products are identified with care and concern for your confidentiality. Mise en Cage guarantees that we will keep your personal information in strictest confidence. Names, email address, and any other personal information remains completely secure under our corporate guidelines. We will never sell or share your information with any other company. If you do subscribe to receive emails from us and later change your mind, simply follow the unsubscribe instructions on the registration page.

5) Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.
Mise en Cage Paris offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch from our distribution center. Occasionally however, we may be waiting for shipments from our designer suppliers. Consequently you may from time to time be given the possibility of making an Advance Payment for certain items in which case you are able to make an Advance Purchase. This will ensure that you receive this item in priority once designer stock has been delivered to Mise en Cage.

Mise en Cage Paris will only take Advance Purchase orders for stock that has been scheduled for delivery by a designer supplier. Your rights regarding Advance Purchase are the same as those for any other purchase at Mise en Cage.
Items received into stock may be pre-allocated to satisfy Advance Payment orders and customers making Advance Payments will receive items in priority to customers on the Waiting List or customers ordering through the Site for immediate delivery. Please be aware that we may be unable to deliver selected Advance Payment merchandise due to production problems or quality check issues identified when we receive an order into stock. In these circumstances we will notify you by email and refund the Advance Payment to your credit/debit card within thirty days of being advised that merchandise has become unavailable.

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the details of your order. The e-mail is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it. A contract between you and Mise en Cage will not be formed until we send you a confirmation by email that the goods have been dispatched to you. The sale contract is concluded in Paris, France, and in the English language. We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event that we do not obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item or that the item ordered is out of stock.
We may refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason, or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from the website at any time, whether or not that particular product has been sold out.

Online payment can be made using Paypal. Paypal is an online payment processing company widely used on Internet to facilitate with making your online purchase, you will be transferred to the paypal site where your transaction will be processed. You do not need a Paypal account and there is no additional cost to you.

6) Pricing policy

Prices shown on the Site are in Euros and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate.
All prices and offers remain valid as advertised from time to time. The Euros price of a product displayed on the Site at the time the order is accepted will be honored.

Product prices are set at the beginning of each season using existing currency exchange rates. These prices are subject to change if the applicable currency exchange rate changes before your order is accepted or the items are subject to markdowns at any time during the selling period.

7) Payment

Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro debit cards, and via Paypal. PayPal is an online payment processing company widely used on the Internet to facilitate sales transactions, including credit card payments. When you proceed with making your online purchase and you select PayPal as a method of payment you will be transferred to the PayPal site where your transaction will be processed. You do not need a PayPal account and there is no additional cost to you.

Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon dispatch of your order by Mise en Cage. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Mise en Cage, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
No credit/debit card transactions are made on this site itself, they are processed through PayPal, which is secure online payment gateways that encrypt your card details in a secure host environment.

8) Insurance and Delivery

Mise en Cage sources its collections from emerging designers. Items may often be available in very limited edition, exclusive or made to order. 
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your order within 2-3 working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
For made to order items, please allow a longer time. The estimated time for each item is stated on each product page, please consider this carefully before placing your order.
To offer you the best service we have chosen La Poste colissimo, for all national and international deliveries. As soon as your order is picked up you will receive an email with the tracking number with details on how to track. Shipping charges have been calculated following the weight of the items ordered.

France: 48 hours

Europe: 3-5 working days 

North America : 3-5 working days

South America : 5-7 working days

Rest of the world : 6-8 working days

You will be required to sign for the goods delivered at which point responsibility for the goods will be passed to you.

Mise en Cage insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you.
Mise en Cage is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

9) Return Policy

At Mise en Cage we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.

For example, if you are unsure about which size to pick, please contact us on contact@misencage.com or by phone : +33 145 545 132 and we will be happy to assist you.

You have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered. This applies to all of our products.

Please note that Briefs and bodies should be tried on over underwear.
Items returned must be unworn and in resalable condition and with labels and tags in place.

Delivery Charges are non-refundable.

To cancel this contract, please send a return request to contact@misencage.com with your purchase number and specific items requesting to be returned. In the email describe in detail any problem with the item. You will receive an email with an authorization to return the specific item. Then pack the relevant item securely and send it to us with the returns slip so that we receive it within 7 working days after the day of the date that the item was delivered to you. We strongly advise that you insure your parcel when returning an item, since we can't be held responsible for any mishandling or loss from the postal services.

If you wish to exchange an item for an alternative size or require for a refund, your refunds/exchanges are processed quickly and efficiently, within 7 days upon receipt of the goods.

Be aware that shipment costs to send back goods are also charged to the customer. We recommend you use a courier or registered post to send back goods.

10) Intellectual property rights

All content (including, but not limited to, graphics, images, logos, text)and software made available to you on the website remains the property of Mise en Cage, our designers and partners and are protected by France and international copyright laws. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, reproduce, redistribute any of the content of this website.
This website is for your personal and non-commercial use only.

11) Disclaimer

Mise en Cage online boutique undertakes to provide as accurate and exact a service as possible; nevertheless, technical, factual and/or printing errors may occur. Mise en Cage website reserves the right to make changes and corrections to the website whenever necessary, without advance warning.

13) Care Instructions

Bordelle :

Each Bordelle product has been carefully made by hand in our London based Atelier, using a blend of the finest couture silks with original trims and accessories. Special care must be taken when washing garments made from satins, georgettes and chiffons. These must be hand washed separately in luke warm water using mild detergent or soap flakes. Pay special attention to rings and finger nails as these fabrics are very delicate. After repeated cleaning silk satin fabrics might experience a slight loss of lusture, which is characteristic of the natural fabric. Machine washed garments may become damaged or discoloured. We cannot accept any returns of machine washed goods.
Girdle dresses made entirely out of silky elastic strips can appear crinckled after washing, but this does not affect the appearance of the garments when worn. Please follow carefully the care instructions for items containing delicately lasered calf skins, couture pleated silk panels, metal mesh and natural feathers. Such items require specialist dry cleaning. Hand wash garments must be dried flat, no wringing and stored away from direct sunlight or heat. And finally, any variation in the surface colour and texture of the leather trims is a natural characteristic of the product and should not be deemed a fault.

All lingerie brands :

Dry Clean or Handwash Only.
Only use detergents specifically recommended for silk. Do not use harsh detergents which may include bleach or brightening components.
Avoid leaving to soak and wringing/twisting garments to relieve excess water. This can damage the silk and pull the garment out of shape if twisted too hard.
To dry, it is preferential to hang silk. Avoid direct sunlight & varnished/painted drying racks as it can lead to discoloration. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY OR PLACE NEAR DIRECT HEAT.

Latex garments :

* Latex is fragile. Make sure you use enough talcum powder or lubricant on the inside of the garment when putting it on and be gentle.

* Be very careful not to get your latex garment snagged on anything, such as fingernails or jewellery, since latex can tear easily when pulled too hard.

* Latex is a natural fabric that can be chemically affected by oils (excepted silicon, which is safe!), perfume, lotions. Do not use any of those before or while wearing latex.

* When light coloured latex (white, pink, lime...) touches metal, a chemical reaction can occur, resulting in a permanent yellow stain. Do not handle coins, wear jewels (including piercings) when wearing your latex. Remember to wrap carefully in paper or tape any metal parts (buckles, eyelets) on your garment so it won't stain when stored.

* To shine your latex, make sure to only use products designed for that purpose (silicon polish or water based "blue milk")

* To clean your latex, rinse it in and out under lukewarm water. Allow to dry on a wooden or plastic hanger, powder with talcum and store in a plastic bag. If you feel your latex needs a more thorough cleaning, use washing-up liquid to remove oils and stains. Be aware that your latex will stick to itself when all the powder and oil is removed, so handle with care. Hence, we recommend the use of Vivishine in the rinse water to condition and polish your latex.

* Latex finish can be affected by heat, humidity and light. Always store it in a cool and dry place, away from light. We also recommend that you do not wear your latex garments for an extended period in extreme temperatures.
